Who was Pat Finn? ‘The Middle’ and ‘George Wendt Show’ actor dies at 60 after cancer battle

The Middle actor Pat Finn had died at 60 after a cancer battle. The actor best known for his roles in The Middle, Ed, and Marvin Marvin passed away at his home in Los Angeles.

A representative of his told The New York Post in a statement, "It is with profound sadness and grief that the Finn family announces the passing of beloved comedic actor, Pat Finn. In 2022, Pat battled bladder cancer, went into remission, but the cancer returned and metastasized. He was a warrior in every sense of the word.”

While many of his friends and industry peers, including comedian Jeff Dye, shared their condolences.

"I don’t like to be the guy who post pics with celebrities that pass. But this guy wasn’t just a celebrity to me. He was a friend. One of the best dudes I knew with a PERFECT sense of humor. I love you Pat Finn and I’ll see again in the after , we can sing together and shake our heads about all the meannes in the used to be."

He has a plethora of credits in his career, including working on titles like Caroline in the City, That '70s Show, The King of Queens, Third Rock From the Sun, Less Than Perfect, The Drew Carey Show, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Wizards of Waverly Place, and more.

In 2022, he told The Foothills Focus where his love for sitcoms comes from,

“My mom and I watched The Carol Burnett Show and The Odd Couple. I really liked the idea of sitcoms. Growing up in Chicago, nobody said they wanted to be an actor. They wanted to be firefighters or in sales.”
He added, “I met my wife, Donna, my freshman year when I was 18. I also met one of my best friends, Chris Farley. The two of us were inseparable. We listened to comedy albums by Steve Martin and National Lampoon.”

Pat Finn is survived by his wife and three children.
