Although Jeff Greenstein may not be as famous as his fiancée Paulina Porizkova, most will be familiar with his work, such as the award-winning shows he’s written, directed and produced, Friends, Will & Grace and Desperate Housewives. With all the work that Greenstein has done helped shaped some of America’s most adored sitcom love stories, it is exciting to know that he is now experiencing a romantic story of his own, that he lovingly crafted himself.

The 60-year-old model announced their engagement on July 9 with a sweet, understated Instagram post showing off her new engagement ring. “He asked,” she wrote, alongside a beaming video of the couple cozied up in a car. It was a quiet moment, but one that spoke volumes. The pair have been together since early 2023 and recently celebrated two years since their first in-person meeting.

“Tonight, two years ago, we met in person. I already knew,” Porizkova shared on Instagram back in February. “And it could only be answered one way. With a kiss.”

So, who exactly is the man who’s stolen Porizkova’s heart? Greenstein’s career in TV comedy spans more than 30 years. He’s not only written some of the most memorable episodes of Friends and Will & Grace, but he’s also helped shape what modern television comedy looks like. And now, he's clearly winning at romance too.

Growing up in Atlanta, Jeff Greenstein embarked on a computer science program at Tufts University until later switching to film and dance, which he ultimately graduated in. He got his start in the industry during the early ‘90s writing for Dream On, and afterwards, he worked on Friends, guiding its tone and ensemble chemistry in the early seasons. He was also a principal creative figure on Will & Grace, where he earned an Emmy as Showrunner for the series in the 2000 Outstanding Comedy Series Emmys.

Since then, Jeff Greenstein has kept busy directing episodes of Mom, The Neighborhood, The Odd Couple, and more. He also co-hosts the podcast I Dream of Cameras, where he nerds out on vintage film photography. A storyteller at heart, he’s now living a story that many fans are cheering on—one filled with laughter, Paris kisses, striped shirts, and a lot of love.

Paulina Porizkova has been open about the emotional journey that brought her to this new chapter. After the loss of her former husband, Ric Ocasek, and the end of a brief romance with Aaron Sorkin, the model spent years rebuilding her sense of self. In a post from earlier this year, she wrote candidly about how falling in love again didn’t happen magically—it was the result of “really hard work.”

“I’ve spent the last three years being single and getting over the belief I was not worthy of love,” she shared on Instagram. “I had been told I was too needy. Too crazy. Or alternatively, too cold and critical… Honestly, I don’t love myself any more or less than I have always done. But I understand myself a whole lot better.”

Now, with Greenstein by her side, she says she’s discovered a deeper, safer kind of love—one built on mutual understanding, warmth, and plenty of kisses. As she puts it on her post,

“Our goal is to keep kissing—everywhere and all the time.”
