The creator of the highly-rated sitcom Abbott Elementary, Quinta Brunson, drew a bit of attention online as netizens speculated that she must be pregnant. Brunson, who is also the co-writer and executive producer of the ABC sitcom, was quick enough to respond as she shut down the rumors surrounding her pregnancy, as per E! News.
The 36-year-old actress and writer turned comedian, Quinta Brunson, addressed and dismissed her pregnancy rumor after she shared a picture of herself on social media wearing a white bulky sweater, which appeared and gave people the idea that she might be pregnant, which she clearly is not. The picture of herself that she posted on her Instagram Story had a caption that read:
"Not preggers. Sweater in odd position. Not 2026 already getting my a**."
Before becoming a program creator for ABC, Quinta Brunson, who has starred in multiple TV shows and movies such as Quinta vs Everything, A Black Lady Sketch Show, An American Pickle, and As of Yet, used to work for BuzzFeed as a video producer. The Miracle Workers actress, Brunson, who has won two Primetime Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award, was married to Kevin Anik, according to People.
As per People, Quinta Brunson, who confirmed the news of her engagement to Kevin Anik in July 2020, tied the knot with him in October 2021. According to The New Yorker, as cited by People, Anik works in the Cannabis industry in California. After spending four years together, Brunson and Anik, who were quite private about their married life, split in March 2025, stating irreconcilable differences.
Quinta Brunson likes to keep her private life to herself

Single Parents actress Quinta Brunson is quite reserved when it comes to her personal life and does not like to discuss it publicly. During a June 2025 interview with Bustle, Brunson said:
"People have this idea that people in the public eye want the public to know their every move. None of us do. I promise you."
While she prefers not to talk and discuss everything about her personal life, that does not mean Brunson does not like to connect and engage with her fans. Brunson said:
"I love my fans, I love the people who watch Abbott. But when it comes to matters of your personal life, you do have to tune it out. Those are invisible voices that aren’t in your home with you, that aren’t in your personal life, that aren’t your friends."
