Don't believe everything some radom a** tells you on the internet."The rumor about the cut scenes comes from an unsourced Google Docs document that were sent to multiple individuals on social media. The docs cites anonymous sources, various choices in the storyline, the cast's words in interviews and previously debunked runtimes to prove that the show has been tampered with. After contents of the docs went viral, a movement under the hashtag "netflixreleasethevolume2files" rose, demanding that Netflix release the "uncut" or "director's cut" version of Volume 2. A Change.org petition with close to 200,000 signatures has also gone viral on social media platforms.More about Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 cutgate claims, now refuted by Randy HavensStranger Things fans are not happy with Season 5 Volume 2 storyline. Viewers and fans of the show complained about Will Byer's coming out scene, and certain plot holes. A petition on the Change.org says:"WE WANT ANSWERS! It's important because we waited so long for this season. I believe the fans should have a say in how the series should go. This is why many of us are disappointed because it didn't live up to the expectations that was held upon. Everyone is clearly dissatisfied with his season volume. And also the amount of clues and information we got from the cast members and interviews are not matching up with the episodes provided."While Randy Havens has come out publicly to refute the cutagate theories, he's seemingly the only cast members who has acknowledged the rumors. Social media users while reacting to Randy Havens' message also reportedly did not find it to be trustworthy since Havens is not a main cast member and has less scenes as compared to protagonists including, Noah Schnapp, Milly Bobby Brown and more.Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 had it's world premiere on November 6, 2025, and made it to Netflix on December 25, 2025. Other cast members are yet to comment on the conspiracy theories.
