AJ McLean, a founding member of the Backstreet Boys, reunited with his estranged wife, Rochelle McLean, after more than two years. The reunion took place at the Sphere in Las Vegas during the opening of the band’s residency.

The Backstreet Boys, who have sold over 130 million records globally, will continue their residency at the iconic Sphere with performances over the weekend. AJ’s reunion with Rochelle McLean quickly became the moment everyone was talking about after they announced their temporary separation in March 2023.

According to the Daily Mail, 43-year-old Rochelle McLean recently shared a carousel post on her official Instagram account. It featured several pictures, including a selfie with her two daughters and AJ. She captioned the post:

"Opening night @spherevegas was really something special. All I can say is that it is really something you have to see for yourself. Bravo boys! You, your team and your crew pulled off the most spectacular show I've ever seen!"

While Rochelle shared a post that included several photos from the Sphere concert, AJ took to the comments section and wrote:

"I love you all so much. It wouldn't have been the same if my girls weren't there to kick off this amazing residency!"

Rochelle McLean, who is a professional hairstylist and makeup artist, shares two daughters, Elliott and Lyric, with AJ. The couple announced their separation in March 2023. In January 2024, Rochelle and AJ shared on their respective Instagram accounts that they had officially decided to end their marriage.

While AJ shared that their family is “doing good” as of now, he opened up to Us Weekly regarding the matter and said:

"We are coparenting to the best of our ability, and we both have a lot of growing to kind of still go through, but I think we are moving in a really positive direction."

"We have a family together that's obviously not going anywhere. We have been spending a lot of time together as a family and, you know, her and I going out on dates here and there. Fingers crossed that everything works out in the end, but either way, we'll always be close and love each other and be the best parents we could be for our girls."
