As per a recent article by Entertainment News, renowned actor Daniel Day-Lewis revealed how his son Ronan Day-Lewis convinced him to return to Hollywood.
The Academy Award-winning actor announced his retirement from acting in 2017 but is ready to make a comeback with his new project titled Anemone, a psychological drama co-written with his son.
Ronan Day-Lewis is the second child of Daniel Day-Lewis, whom he shares with Rebecca Miller. He is also an artist who got into painting while completing his studies at Yale University.
“We began with a seed of an idea and that was to work together on something. Initially, we discovered a shared interest in exploring the idea of brotherhood, and so we began with two brothers in a shed. That was all we had.” At the film's New York Film Festival debut in New York City on September 28, Daniel-Day Lewis told the publication.
Ronan, who will be directing a movie for the first time, claims that picturing his father in the lead role helped him write the script and also encouraged the Lincoln star to take a more active role in front of the camera.
“As the characters started to develop on their own accord and also in relation and in contrast to each other, I think is when Ray started to become more appealing to [him]. It was amazing to watch the character grow with him as an actor, as well as a co-writer. It was a really unique process.” Ronan Day-Lewis explained.
Ronan Day-Lewis was excited about spending more time with his father, as he mentioned in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine.

Christakis and Day-Lewis have also collaborated on creative projects. Christakis starred in three music videos that Day-Lewis directed for the French keyboard duo Katia & Marielle Labèque's Les Enfants Terribles and three more for David Chalmin's songs Innocence, The Storm, and St-Nazaire. Additionally, she appears in We're Not Little Children and We Know What We Want, one of his pieces from the previous year.
