Samantha Busch, wife of NASCAR star Kyle Busch, is going through a tough time as she discusses severe hair loss amid her alopecia diagnosis. The 40-year-old Kyle, who currently drives the No. 8 Chevrolet ZL1, met Samantha Busch in 2007, when she was a psychology student at Purdue University. At the time, Kyle was just starting as a racer.
The NASCAR Cup Series champion, Kyle and Samanth began dating in 2008, and eventually got hitched on December 31, 2010. Kyle, who has been a part of teams such as Chevrolet Motorsport and the Chevrolet Camping World Truck Series racing manufacturer team, shares two children with Samantha: a son, Brexton, and a daughter, Lennix.
Samantha Busch, besides being Kyle's wife and the mother of two, is an entrepreneur and a lifestyle blogger. She is widely known for her blogs, which are available on her website. She covers a wide range of topics, including fashion, fitness, and recipes. She also owns a racing-inspired clothing brand called the Samantha Busch Shop. Previously, she co-owned a professional racing team known as the Kyle Bush Motorshop with her husband. In September 2023, it was acquired by Spire Motorsports.
Samantha Busch, who starred in the 2018 reality show Racing Wives, is also an author and IVF advocate. She has been pretty vocal about her miscarriage and her struggles with infertility. Not to mention, she, along with her husband, started an IVF grant program called the Bundle of Joy Fund, which helps couples with similar issues.
Samantha Busch opens up on social media about her severe hair loss

The 39-year-old Samantha Busch, who continues to deal with serious hair loss amid her alopecia diagnosis, took to Instagram and shared a story with a picture of numerous strands of her hair stuck to a wet shower wall on June 10, 2025. The picture she shared on her Instagram story came with a caption that read:
"It just won’t stop today. Feels like a year of progress and growth all fell out in the span of two weeks. Feel even more scared this time bc I’m on all the meds, supplements, have completely changed my diet, lifestyle and exercise, and out of nowhere, bam."
While she made it clear that she had "no other symptoms" apart from the hair loss, Samantha added:
"No brain fog; fatigue, soreness. To be honest, this is the best I’ve ever felt in my life, minus my hair."
It was in 2023, the entrepreneur/lifestyle blogger first opened up about her hair loss on social media. She took to Facebook and wrote:
"So my hair has been falling out significantly now for a good month. It’s not breakage but coming out at the root (I can see the little bulb still attached when it’s all over the bathroom floor). I’ve had multiple blood tests done — hormones, thyroid and iron, the common ones for hair loss checked out fine. My iron, vitamin D and creatinine levels were high, but not to the point that they think it’s the cause for the sudden onset of shedding. It’s also not localized like a spot or at my part line, but is an all-over thinning."
Samantha mentioned how painful it was for her to see her hair fall out, as she "already had thin hair". She added:
"I'm at a loss of what to do because my normal go-to’s aren’t lessening the shed."
