Who is Santino Lofranco? Spencer Lofranco’s brother pays tribute to the actor following his death

Toronto-born actor Spencer Lofranco passed away on Tuesday at the age of 33. Authorities are currently investigating his death in British Columbia, Canada. The official cause has not been disclosed.

Spencer’s brother, Santino Lofrano, announced the news via Facebook and Instagram. The posts were accompanied by images of the Gotti actor from both his childhood and adult days.

“To the legend @roccowinning. My brother. You lived a life only some could dream of. You changed people's lives, and now you are with God. I will always love you and miss you, Bear. RIP. October 18, 1992 - November 18, 2025,” the caption read.

Santino Lofranco is a personal injury lawyer and a name partner at the legal firm Lofranco Corriero.

Spencer Lofranco was unmarried. He is survived by his brother and their parents.

Spencer Lofranco was born in October 1992 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His middle name was Rocco. He grew up with his brother Santino Lofranco. Their father, Rocco “Rocky” C. Lofranco, is a lawyer, and their mother, Amy Lofranco, is an opera singer, dancer, model, and actress. They divorced when Spencer and Santino were young.

During a past conversation with Interview Magazine, Spencer Lofranco shared that his father didn’t want him to be an actor; instead encouraged him to pursue law and hockey. However, he credited his mother for inspiring him to become an entertainer and performer.

Meanwhile, Spencer’s brother Santino followed in the footsteps of their father and became a personal injury attorney. According to Lofranco Corriero, he represents clients injured in a “wide variety of litigation matters” including motor vehicle accidents, pedestrian accidents, slip and fall injuries, long-term disability, occupiers’ liability, and other personal injury claims.

Santino Lofranco has been working at Lofranco Corriero since 2006. He earned his B.A. degree in criminology from York University, Toronto, and also minored in Human Rights and Equity Studies. Later, Spencer Lofranco’s brother obtained his Juris Doctor from Bond University, Australia.

Santino is a member of the Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario Bar Associations and the Canadian Law Students Association. He has contested his cases before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Financial Services Commission of Ontario, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, and the Ontario Divisional Court.

Outside of work, Santino Lofranco enjoys spending time with his family. He has a son and is in a relationship. He also plays golf and hockey.

Spencer Lofranco had been away from the limelight since 2018. That year, he appeared in the biopic Gotti, based on the life and death of the Gambino crime family patriarch, John Gotti Sr. He shared the screen with John Travolta.

Before that, Lofranco appeared in the 2013 romcom, At Middleton, and the 2014 crime drama, Jamesy Boy. 2014 also saw him play the role of Harry Brooks in Angelina Jolie’s directorial, Unbroken, set against the backdrop of the Second World War. In 2015 and 2016, Spencer acted in Dixieland and King Cobra.
