Scarlett Johansson has a twin brother, Hunter Johansson. Like his sister, he also entered the entertainment industry as an actor. According to his IMDb profile, some of his famous projects include Manny & Lo (1996) and Entertainment Tonight.

Later, he chose a different path professionally and built a career in public service, activism, and nonprofit work.

Scarlett's parents and her siblings attended the New York premiere of Jurassic World Rebirth recently.

In a recent exclusive conversation with E! News at the event, she expressed her love for her twin, Hunter Johansson, for rooting for her, sharing:

"He was the loudest audience member. I knew that would be the case because he loves Jurassic so much and was like, there for it."

Hunter Johansson and his family were present at the premiere to cheer for Scarlett. However, the actress revealed that her twin would have made it to the event regardless, as a fan of the iconic franchise.

The Black Widow star further told E! News:

"He would’ve been there either way because he’s a fan and the movie is so explosive. He was literally orchestrating the John Williams music and was just like, so loud."

Recalling the joy of watching the film as a kid, Scarlett continued:

"That was really fun because we saw the movie together when we were 9 or 10 in the theater, and here we are in this full circle moment. It’s kind of crazy."

In a 2015 conversation with Parade, Hunter Johansson recounted growing up in New York City, where they lived "very normal city lives," as E! News cited.

As the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported, he discussed taking "the subway to public school" and exploring beaches and museums with their grandma.

Hunter further said:

"There are few places and moments when my sister can move about without being recognized. When those rare instances happen, I am reminded of a time before her celebrity, when we were kids, and I treasure that. She is my other half. Nothing is more important to me than my twin."

Scarlett also expressed her unconditional love for her brother and acknowledged his charitable efforts, sharing:

"I feel very connected to him. He's the most golden-hearted person. I think a lot of people spend their life looking for a partner, someone to be a mirror to reflect upon, to remind them that they've lived. You want someone to tell you what he witnessed in your life. My twin brother has always been that for me."

While the Johanssons lead luxurious lifestyles today, their upbringing was quite different from their present lives. In 2017, the Lost in Translation star looked back on her childhood on an episode of Inside the Actors Studio, as South China Morning Post (SCMP) cited, and explained:

"We were living on welfare, we were on food stamps. My parents were raising four kids in a low-income household in Manhattan. So, it was a lot."

The Avengers actress often speaks about her endearing bond with Hunter in interviews. Last year, she appeared on an episode of Live with Kelly and Mark and talked about her family.

Discussing adult twins and telepathy, she said:

"Of course we know so much about each other because we were, like, in utero together. Which, I’m like, 'Oh yeah, I guess I’ve always had you around.' But, he’s also my brother, so he’s also just, like, a dude. So there’s that too."

As Hello! Magazine cited, she continued:

"I feel like if we were identical twins, there would probably be more of that mind-body thing, but I look at him, and I’m like, 'You’re also, like, a stinky dude.' So we don’t have as much of that"

Reflecting on her close bond with Hunter, she appreciated him, chiming in:

"He's great. We’re super close. My brother Hunter is… he’s a gem...also single."
