Jack Nicholson’s grandson, Sean Knight Nicholson, was taken into custody on Wednesday, August 5, in Los Angeles on a felony domestic violence charge, according to official arrest records reviewed by The U.S. Sun. The 29-year-old, who has no prior arrests on record, was later released after posting a $50,000 bond, the outlet added.

Sean Knight Nicholson is the only child of Jennifer Nicholson, the actor’s eldest daughter, born in 1963 during Nicholson’s marriage to actress Sandra Knight. The couple separated five years later.

Away from the headlines, Sean Knight Nicholson has been carving his space in the music world. His Instagram bio lists him as a composer working across “horror composition, experimental club, hardcore, dark ambient,” and “phonk.” He calls himself a “Patron of the Dark Arts” and performs as a DJ under the name Cutter Mattock.

Per IMDb, Sean Knight Nicholson is credited as the composer of the upcoming shorts, The Opinion Man and Prosthetika. According to LinkedIn, he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Media Production from Emerson College, where he studied between 2014 and 2020.

The U.S. Sun confirmed that Sean Knight Nicholson, had been taken into custody on suspicion of felony domestic violence. Nicholson, who has occasionally appeared alongside his grandfather at public events, was booked at approximately 5 pm on August 5 and released hours later after posting a $50,000 bond. Police said he is accused of assaulting a woman and is scheduled to appear in court in Los Angeles on August 26.

If found guilty of the felony charge, he could face a sentence of up to four years in a California state prison. According to a spokesperson for the LAPD’s Pacific Division, no booking photo would be made public.
