Becky G and her fiancé, Sebastian Lletget, have made things red carpet official—for the second time.

As reported by People magazine, amid rumors of philandering on Lletget’s part, the pair’s bond was thought to be on the rocks. Some even speculated that they had split. However, in November 2023, Becky G and Sebastian Lletget were spotted hanging out for the first time in eight months in Porter Ranch, California.

Lletget plays club soccer with FC Dallas. As an attacking midfielder, he has made a name for himself in Major League Soccer, having played 31 games for FC Dallas with two goals last year alone. In the past, he played for the New England Revolution, the L.A. Galaxy, and the English Premier League’s West Ham United.

Becky G and Sebastian Lletget began dating in June 2016 after being set up by mutual friends. They got engaged in December 2022 after six years together, but their bond took a hit when the soccer player ostensibly confessed to cheating on the Shower singer. In a now-deleted Instagram post, he wrote:

“Over the last few weeks, during a moment I regret deeply, a 10-minute lapse in judgment resulted in an extortion plot." He was referencing an Instagram user wh claimed to have full proof that Lletget had been philandering with another woman at a Madrid club in 2022. “Since this person did not get what they wanted it has now become a public social media spectacle filled with more lies than any truth and false posts aimed at the love of my life, the one person who I should never take for granted or put at risk.”

He also described the incident as a “wake-up call,” adding,

“I can’t keep running from demons. I know that any actions made that put us here should have never happened to begin with. Pushing right up to the very boundaries of lines that should never be crossed only hurts me and the people I love most.”

Admitting to participating in therapy “half-heartedly” at the time, he vowed to commit himself to a “mental wellness program” before concluding the post with an apology to Becky G, legally known as Becky Gomez:

“To Becky, you have been the light in my life, my strength, who has always shown me unconditional love,” he wrote. “Instead of honoring that love every day, I have done the opposite, hurting you, and disrespecting the one person I love more than anything. I am so sorry and know I have to do whatever it takes to earn back the trust and love you deserve.”

In December 2023, Us Weekly reported that the pair had emerged from the scandal stronger than ever. A source exclusively told the outlet that they “were in a really bad place, and she ghosted him for a couple of days, but that’s it.”

At the time, Becky G had

“been in Dallas with him whenever she had a break from tour, and they’re fully back together.”

Back in December 2022, the couple announced their engagement on Instagram with three photos: one of Lletget down on one knee, another of the two hugging, and the last of the songstress smiling as she showed off her ring.

“Our spot forever,” they captioned it.
