Who is Shaquil Barrett’s wife Jordanna Barrett? NFL star and spouse reflect on daughter’s death two years after incident

As per a recent article by US Weekly, NFL star Shaquil Barrett and his wife Jordanna Barrett are remembering their two-year-old daughter who died in a drowning accident.

During a recent episode of Good Morning America telecasted on July 20, Sunday, Shaquil Barrett spoke about mourning the loss of his two-year-old.

"It's always a battle. It’s always a struggle. It don’t get no easier but it’s something that we’ve been managing, dealing with, just talking with each other and talking to NFL families, talking to friends, the kids and making sure they’re doing OK,” Shaquil said during the show along with mentioning that the couple has learnt to “keep moving on, healing in a proper way.”

Shaquil Barrett has been happily married to Jordanna Barrett for over a decade now. Jordanna is a social media influencer.

During the interview, Shaquil also accepted the fact that he and his wife did not take the most basic steps when it came to 'pool safety'.

"We didn’t even have a gate that was protecting the pool, so that was the main thing. We had door sensors but we got annoyed [by] the kids going in and out all the time, so we ended up turning the door sensors off.” Shaquil noted.

He further mentioned that on the day of the unfortunate incident, the gate leading to the pool and the door was unlocked and the door chimes were off.

“We just didn’t know that the life vests and the flotation devices made it a false sense of security for the babies, thinking they could swim now because every time they’re in the pool, they have the life vests on, life jackets on or flotation device. We’ve been doing that all the time now.”

The couple noted that they have been preparing their children Shaquil Jr, Braylon, Aliyah and Allanah for the worst-case scenario and training them for pool safety.

In honor of their late daughter, Shaquil and Jordanna Barrett have started their own foundation named the Arrayah Hope Foundation.

On November 2024, the couple announced that they were expecting their sixth child together. The couple welcomed baby Amaiah Marie, two years after the demise of baby Arrayah.

The couple posted a series a photographs on Instagram with a heart-warming caption to welcome the 6th addition to their family.
