Who is Stefon Diggs' brother Darez Diggs? Former XFL player's Christopher Blake Griffith attack video goes viral amid his brother’s lawsuit

National Football League star Stefon Diggs, the New England Patriots' wide receiver, on October 1, 2025, filed a libel lawsuit against Christopher Blake Griffith after he accused and claimed that Stefon had drugged him as well as sexually assaulted him in 2023. As per court documents obtained by TMZ, the 31-year-old Stefon Diggs claimed that Griffith, who, according to his LinkedIn profile, is a marketing executive, athlete, artist, and influencer, devised a false narrative about a reported incident at his Rockville, Maryland, residence in May 2023.

In his lawsuit, Stefon Diggs mentioned that he, Christopher, and a few other influencers visited a nightclub after a Washington, DC charity basketball game. Eventually, they headed back to his home from the club. According to TMZ, as cited by Page Six, in the court documents, Stefon, who previously played for the Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, and Houston Texans, claimed that after he had gone to his bedroom, his assistant requested Christopher to leave his residence.

After two years, Christopher, on social media, accused Stefon Diggs of drugging and attempting to sexually assault him. Not to mention, Griffith also reportedly claimed that the NFL star planned to have him murdered. According to Page Six, the New England Patriots' wide receiver has sought lawyers' fees and damages.

However, amid Stefon Diggs' lawsuit, a video of Darez Diggs, the wide receiver's 29-year-old brother, who is also a footballer, recently went viral, in which he could be seen along with two other individuals physically assaulting and attacking Griffith in an elevator. The attack against Griffith took place in May 2023 in a building in Los Angeles. While Darez was involved in the matter, he pleaded no contest to a felony charge and got two years of probation.

According to the New York Post, Darez Diggs, a professional defensive back, was listed on the 2020 XFL roster. He also played for the Los Angeles Wildcats. As per his UAB roster page, Darez attended Iowa Western Community College, where he began his football career. After that, he transferred to the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Christopher Blake Griffith's lawyer denied Stefon Diggs' "fabricated" claims

Griffith's lawyer, Jake Lebowitz, opposed and denied Stefon's "fabricated" claims in a statement he provided to Page Six. The statement said:

"Mr. Griffith is looking forward to showing the world in Court that regardless of the fairy tale fabricated by Mr. Diggs’ high-priced New York Lawyers, he is the victim of Mr. Diggs’ unwanted sexual advances and his brother’s violent attacks."

"Not only will we defend against these false allegations but our counterclaims for sexual battery will be filed shortly."
