Tony Hawk, 56, is having the time of his life being a grandfather to Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk. His son, Riley Hawk, and daughter-in-law, Frances Bean Cobain, welcomed their son on September 17, 2024. The infant is the first grandchild in both his paternal and maternal families.

In a recent exclusive conversation with the outlet, he reflected on his present life as a grandparent. Gushing over special moments, he said,
"It's been a blast. I understand why people gush about being grandparents. It's probably the most fun you can have."
Tony Hawk is a proud dad to four kids: Riley Hawk, Spencer Hawk, Keegan Hawk, and Kadence Clover Hawk. He shares his beloved children with three women, Cindy Dunbar, Erin Lee, and Lhotse Merriam.
Everything we know about Tony Hawk’s four kids
In a 2019 interview with Vogue, the renowned skateboarder expressed his thoughts on teaching them resilience.
In the famous 73 Questions segment, he shared,
"I hope I’ve taught them the value of perseverance, of believing in yourself and creating your own path in life. I feel like they all have a pretty good sense of their limitations. They have a better sense of their limitations than I do."
Riley Hawk
Tony Hawk and his first wife, Cindy Dunbar, had their eldest kid, Riley Hawk, on December 6, 1992, in Carlsbad, People reported. Riley continues his father's legacy and has already marked his name as a professional skateboarder.
Tony opened up about his bond with his son in his documentary. Recounting every tough phase they overcame together, he said,
"Riley was with me through all of my relationships and challenges and turmoil. Riley had a rough upbringing with a lot of different co-parents and half-siblings. And he just went along with it, because he didn’t — obviously he didn’t have a choice."
Despite nepotism claims being attached to Riley's name, he utilized his potential and skills to create his own destiny.
In a conversation with GQ, Tony Hawk stated,
"Early on there were claims of nepotism and people saying Riley’s got it easy because I’m his father, but it was the opposite. It would have been way easier for him to go in a different direction, but everyone eventually saw that he has this super creative and out-of-the-box way of skating."
Beyond skateboarding, Riley sings for a punk band and is a businessman, too. He co-founded Steel Mill Coffee in 2019. Also, he has collaborated with Lakai Limited Footwear to launch his signature skate shoes.
Riley Hawk tied the knot with Frances Bean Cobain in October 2023 and had a son the next year.
Spencer Hawk
In 1996, Tony Hawk exchanged vows with his second wife, Erin Lee. They had Spencer Anthony Hawk in 1999. He was born on March 26 in California.
From a young age, he has been passionate about music. At 11, he started playing for the Cutback Curve band. He attended Berklee College of Music.
In 2016, Spencer released music under the name Gupi. In addition, he is also a member of the famous hyperpop duo Food House and Fraxiom.
Keegan Hawk
Born on July 18, 2001, in San Diego, Keegan Hawk is Tony Hawk and Erin Lee's second child. Like his father and eldest step-sibling, he is passionate about skateboarding. Besides the adventurous action sport, he shares a keen interest in photography.
Keegan appeared on The Misfits Podcast and narrated glimpses from his family holidays.
"It’s hard for them sometimes too because we’ll go travel to a crazy place and they just want to like hang out as a family, go around and do stuff and I’m just like 'no can we go to this park over here and five hours north this way.'"
Kadence Clover Hawk
After divorcing Erin in 2004, Tony chose to marry again in 2006. He tied the knot with Lhotse Merriam. However, their marriage ended in 2011. Tony's only daughter, Kadence Clover Hawk, joined the Hawk family on June 30, 2008.
Her skateboarding journey began at an early age. Apart from performing stunts on a skateboard, she plays lacrosse and shares an interest in theater.
Tony Hawk shared his experience about being a granddad
Tony's interview mirrors his affection and unconditional love for his grandkid. Recalling unforgettable moments of how Ronin reacts to visiting his grandfather's home, he shared,
"There's this look that Ronin gets on his face when he arrives at our house where it's like, 'Oh, this is the fun place. This is my domain to just enjoy myself.' Not that he doesn't, but there are less rules here."
Ronin seems to share a similar interest in skateboarding. Reminiscing about how the kid has tried out one of his sporting platforms, Tony Hawk added,
"If he really likes it, he can just have that one that he's riding, which would've been mine. So I would say any day now, if he asks for it, it's his. Let's put it that way. Once he starts to talk, and if he requests it, then that'll be it."
The athlete witnessed his son's transformation into a father. Expressing how he feels to see his son embracing parenthood, he further continued,
"He's been great. He's really embraced it. You can tell that it gives him the most joy, and so if anything, that makes me very proud."
Tony took pride in seeing Riley's fatherhood journey.
