As per an article by Abell, Tracy Reiner organised an online auction to sell out some antiques belonging to her late mother.
Reiner stated in the interview that she had questioned if her mother's collection of lamps, paintings, sculptures, furniture, and souvenirs constituted hoarding, but she believes that the purchases were made with too much consideration and "passion" for that to be the case. She finds it difficult to determine the whole value and is happy to let Abell Auction Co. handle that aspect of the situation.
The auction was hosted by Abell Gallery. The proceeds from the auction will go towards supporting Negro League baseball, girls' baseball, the military, veterans with traumatic brain injuries and retired sports figures and artists.
