Who is Valentina Pinault? What we know as Salma Hayek celebrates daughter’s 18th birthday 

As per a recent article by People, actress Salma Hayek recently celebrated her daughter Valentina Pinault's 18th birthday.

On September 22, Hayek shared snaps from her daughter's 18th birthday festivities on her social media account on Instagram. She shared a carousel of photographs and video clips from her daughter's big day. It included a video clip of Hayek and Valentina dancing together in silk dresses and a throwback photo of the happy family.

Born on September 21, 2007, in Los Angeles, Salma Hayek says that her daughter, Valentina, is a copy of her mother.

"We ate, we danced, we laughed, we loved… and we kept the party going all weekend. Happy birthday mi cielo, celebrating you never feels long enough" Hayek wrote in the caption.

Salma Hayek also shared a childhood picture of Valentina Pinault and called her 18-year-old a 'dancing queen'.

"My beautiful dancing queen. Today you turned 18 !!!!! So many things have changed in your life, but you are always soooo you. A kind passionate heart, a wise soul full of magic, a unique unstoppable force of nature with a witty sense of humor and stubborn tenacity." Hayek wrote in the caption.

"Some things will never chance we love you forever and although you were always ahead of your years you will always be in my heart my dream daughter," she added. "Feliz cumpleaños Valentina Paloma."

Salma Hayek and Pinault met in 2006, and in 2007, they welcomed Valentina, their daughter. On Valentine's Day of 2009, the pair married in a civil ceremony in Paris's 6th Arrondissement City Hall. Later that year, in April, they celebrated with friends and family at a grandiose wedding in Venice, Italy. A flower girl was Valentina.

Born in September 2007, Valentina Pinault is the daughter of renowned Mexican-American actress Salma Hayek and French businessman François-Henri Pinault. The couple got engaged in March 2007 and got married in the year 2009 on Valentine's Day in Paris.

Salma told HOLA!USA that Mexican traditions and teachings are a major part of her daughter's upbringing.

"Valentina grew up in Paris, but every year we had a Day of the Dead celebration. I learned how to make pan de muerto in Paris. It has influenced me a lot, always being close to my family. It's what gives you security. It gives you roots."

Through her father's previous relationships, Valentina has three half-siblings, François, Mathilde, and Augustin.

Valentina has been a part of Salma Hayek and her husband's red carpet events, and she has been clicked many times during Hayek's film screenings and philanthropy events right from her childhood. Hayek has also mentioned that her daughter has been quite confident from a young age and is not shy to face the camera.

"Valentina and I are not very similar personality-wise. She gets in front of the camera with no problem!" Salma told HOLA!USA

As ardent philanthropists, Salma Hayek and her husband, François-Henri, appear to be teaching Valentina the value of giving back. The mother and daughter attended the Les P'tits Cracks charity dinner at Paris's Pavillon Champs Élysées years ago.

Hayek also admits in interviews that Valentina has indeed got some privileges, and she tries to teach simple lessons to her daughter on a day-to-day basis.
