The well-known British TV personality Vas J Morgan recently made headlines when he arrived with singer and actress Jessica Simpson at West Hollywood's We Matter x Limitless mental health charity event.

The images of the pair were circulated online, where Simpson was seen wearing a black silk slip dress and Morgan wearing a white shirt and jeans. The photos spread across the internet, leaving many interested in Vas J. Morgan’s career and personal life.

Vas J Morgan, 36, shot to fame in the UK as a cast member on the long-running reality show The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) in 2014. A self-described teenage Essex boy, Morgan started his career as a blogger with aspirations to become a British Perez Hilton.

According to a report by Essex Live, while on TOWIE, Vas J Morgan made headlines not only for his onscreen theatrics but also for being one of the few Black and openly gay cast members of British reality television at the time.

He came out on the show in 2015, and he later said his family found out about his sexuality when the episode aired. He had a somewhat controversial time on TOWIE, ultimately leaving after speaking out about what he alleged was systemic racism behind the scenes.

Once a reality TV show personality, Vas J Morgan reinvented himself as a multi-faceted public figure. He joined the fashion industry in 2017 by establishing Tings magazine with photographer Justin Campbell. He has also set up luxury leisurewear brands such as Sosala, which he co-created with Lauren Pope.

Aside from his contributions to media and fashion, Morgan is also a generous philanthropist. According to SCMP, We Matter was born out of his own struggle with mental health, addiction, and suicidal ideations, and the need to provide mental health support for oppressed communities.

He took part in the global Black Lives Matter movement and launched the “I Am Enough” campaign following the murder of George Floyd.

His latest event with Jessica Simpson was part of this initiative with the support of Limitless and Guess Jeans, which will offer crisis support to up to 150 Black, Brown, and LGBTQIA+ individuals.

Vas J Morgan is used to welcoming the rich and famous to his parties, such as his annual Halloween party, which is known to have attracted A-listers such as Hailey Bieber, Paris Hilton, Cara Delevingne, and Rita Ora. Over the years, he has made sure to use his influence and reach to help the people in need.
