TikTok creator Michael Willis Heard, who gained popularity for the viral "Yes King" meme, has passed away. Heard's daughter, Mykel Crumbie, confirmed his death in a Facebook post. Crumbie's post featured throwback pictures of her and her dad, with the caption,

"My daddy man...I'ma miss you so much king this is crazy to me and you really messing up the family with this one IDC who didn't love my father and didn't like his lifestyle and WISHED DEATH ON HIM! THIS WAS THE GREATEST MAN TO LIVE ON THIS EARTH The love and compassion he had is unmatched. My dad came to everyone with LOVE and touch soooo many lives!"

The post continued,

"I was a blessed girl so blessed to have him as MY DAD! This is so hard for us as a family but this too shall pass and we will grow stronger. I just know my dad is up in glory having an amazing time. I love you daddy ima see you again dont worry about me."

He was from Elyria, Ohio, and gained recognition for his motivational phrases such as "Yes King" and "Love Yourself," which became synonymous with his online presence. His Instagram account had over 38,000 followers and his YouTube account with the same name has more than 11,000 subscribers.

Michael Willis Heard went viral after a clip of his video was reuploaded on TikTok, where he said, "Yes King," and social media users used the audio to create memes.

His Instagram bio states that Heard was a pansexual and polyamorous man. Heard also offered advice on relationships, lifestyle, and sexual wellness, with many users praising him for being able to combine humor with motivation and wisdom.

Michael Willis Heard, during the 11th episode of the podcast Kingz in Konversation, answered 21 questions with his two co-hosts. When asked about his greatest accomplishment, Heard recalled that it was his daughter, Mykel, who was 18 at the time and was about to go to nursing school. Michael also opened up about how having a child had changed his life and how he lives freely as a pansexual, polyamorous man when his daughter asked him to be himself.

He also revealed that he was a pastor and spiritual leader before becoming a content creator and expressed that he wanted to be a pastor again so that he could be more "transparent" and "honest."
