Why did Camille get kicked off Below Deck? What we know as the stewardess is arrested for DUI

Below Deck star Camille Lamb was kicked off the show in January 2023 for her alleged lax behavior. Lamb had been previously warned about her work ethic and had also been in a conflict with fellow colleague Alissa Humber.

In a January 16, 2023, episode, Lamb was fired from the crew by Captain Sandy Yawn after she was caught drinking on the job while the rest of the crew was working hard and prepping for their next charter, as per EW.

In more recent news, the star was recently arrested for driving under the influence. Lamb was taken into custody in Mississippi as per an exclusive report by TMZ, and was released 12 hours later after posting a $1,000 bond.

As of now, there are no more details available regarding her arrest.

More about Camille Lamb being fired from Below Deck

Below Deck captain, Sandy Yawn, was informed about Camille Lamb's lax attitude by Chief Stew Fraser Olender during a January 2023 episode. Fraser, in a confessional, while talking about Camille's behavior, stated,

"I don't know how many more chances I can give. I have hope in people, and no one believed in me, ever, and I turend things around for myself. So I feel like I can see a little bit of that in everyone. So I will always give another chance."

Fraser, the next morning, informed Sandy, who said,

"To me, I'm tired of hearing about Camille. She's the common denominator in all of this. Great girl, great personality, but at the same time, we have to do what's best for the boat."

Sandy called Lamb to the ship's bridge and said,

"This is not easy for me. I'm letting you go this morning."

While speaking to E! News about firing Lamb at the time, Sandy said,

"I stand by it. First and foremost, I don't fire people unless I have the facts, and, secondly, I don't fire people out of favoritism or non-favoritism. I fire people because if they're the one singular thing where everyone else is evolving around them, that's the problem I have to eliminate."

Below Deck is not the only show Camille Lamb has starred in. In 2021, Lamb appeared on American Idol and also on Season 1 of CW's Lovers and Liars in 2024. The Mississippi native has continued to pursue her music career after being fired from the show and dropped her first two singles titled, Bad Girl and Cool Like Me in May 2023.

Despite being fired, Lamb had earlier reconnected with Captain Sandy Yawn and his then-girlfriend-now-wife, Leah Shafer, in a January 2023 Florida Boat race.
