Joshua Sasse didn’t vanish; he simply chose a different path. According to The Daily Mail, the actor stepped away from his on-screen career to answer a different calling, one influenced by his father, Dominic Sadde, a poet and adventurer who lost his life on a trip to Nepal.

After parting ways with pop icon Kylie Minogue, Joshua Sasse drifted into a quieter life. He took up work in a vintage car garage, retreated to a Greek island to write poetry, and co-founded a safari company in Zambia alongside his cousin.

His relationship with Minogue had been headline-worthy. They met on the set of Galavant in 2015, and despite a 20-year age gap, sparks flew. Six months later, Sasse proposed. Minogue beamed in interviews, noting she would take his last name:

“Sasse is a great name. Kylie Sasse is a great name.”

But by early 2017, the fairytale had ended. Rumors swirled that Minogue had suspected Joshua Sasse of having cheated on her with his No Tomorrow co-star Marta Milans. With the pandemic’s arrival in 2020, Sasse immersed himself in poetry. He published his work and started The Poet’s Voice, a podcast reflecting his deepening love for the written word.

Following his split from Minogue, Joshua Sasse made Australia his home. He briefly ran a café and bar there, and not long after, met Louisa Ainsworth. They married in September 2018.

Joshua Sasse’s marriage to Louisa Ainsworth has come to an end, with the Outrageous actor confirming the news on social media. In a calm and heartfelt Instagram statement, Sasse revealed that the two had amicably chosen to separate earlier this year.

“Earlier this year after thoughtful consideration and with mutual respect, Louisa and I have come to the decision to part ways, this decision was not made lightly, but it comes from a place of love, care and a deep appreciation for the time we have shared together.” the post began.

The message continued with a note on their ongoing role as parents:

“Our children are of the highest importance and we are fully committed to co-parenting them with stability and support. We very much appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy at this time.”

Sasse stepped away from the spotlight not too long after his split from Minogue. He returned after a 5-year hiatus with Fox's Monarch.
