Why did Leida Margaretha file for divorce? 90 Day Fiance star and husband Eric Rosenbrook request court to dismiss separation appeal

Leida Margaretha, who participated in the reality show 90 Day Fiance, has reportedly withheld her divorce proceedings from her husband, Eric Rosenbrook. According to a report by Us Weekly, the couple recently requested the court that they would like to take back the divorce filing.

On July 28, Leida Margaretha filed for legal separation from Eric, and as per the court documents, the reason for their separation was that their marriage was beyond repair. Besides, she alleged that there were instances of domestic abuse.

The couple also lost their daughter, Alisa, last month, although the cause of her death was unknown, according to her lawyer, Taylor Hart. At the time, Eric Rosenbrook shared a Facebook post, writing:

“It destroys me and shatters my world to announce that over the weekend tragedy has struck. Yesterday at 12:53 PM after 5 days on life support, my beloved daughter, little Alisa Eleanor Rosenbrook, slipped the surely bonds to join her grandfather Tom. I do not want well wishes or questions. I will not answer anything, read or reply. I ask just for prayers for her.”

Similarly, Leida Margaretha also shared an Instagram post when their daughter was taken to the hospital. In the post, which has reportedly been taken down, she wrote:

“Dear God… You can take away my life, but do not take away my daughter’s life. She just born. God… If this is going to be my lesson to appreciate life since I’ve been struggling with suicidal thoughts then take away my trauma… Help. Me. Find. Peace. Help. Me. Forgive.”

What did Eric Rosenbrook say about Leida Margaretha when he first met her?

According to a TMZ exclusive report from July 11, Eric Rosenbrook allegedly hit his wife while he was under the influence of alcohol. It so happened that after taking a few drinks, Eric decided to buy some stuff from a grocery store. When his wife realized he was late returning home, she found out that Eric was unconscious in his car.

She managed to get him out of the car, after which the couple argued and woke their daughter. He wanted to hold her, but his wife refused, fearing he was already drunk. She claimed that after that, Eric slapped her.

After the police came and investigated the matter, he was taken into custody. As per his statement, he confessed to the physical assault and also said that Leida Margaretha left the place with their daughter.

Per E! News, when the two appeared on the reality show, Eric said that although he had been with several women in the past, he eventually thought that he would not find anyone in life. Speaking about Leida Margaretha, he said:

“I was amazed at who she was.”

Meanwhile, in one of the episodes of the show from 2018, Leida spoke about Eric, saying:

“Right now, I am thinking about calling off the wedding because I don’t feel like Eric is making me his priority. I just don’t know what to do.”

Leida Margaretha claimed that Eric spent more on supporting his child from a previous marriage than on her and her son. She was unhappy about Eric paying for his child.
