Morris and Hurd were married for about five years. They split in 2024 after Morris filed for divorce in October 2023. According to AP News, the 'Church' singer submitted a divorce complaint to the Tennessee court, citing that they were "unable to live together successfully as husband and wife and are experiencing irreconcilable differences in their marriage."

According to People Magazine, Morris shared that,

"Our stops are really easy, and we’ll have family dinners(...) My business manager tells me it needs to be a long-term home because of how much we renovated."

According to People Magazine, Morris further ventured into how she enjoys her personal space. She also shared about how she used to joke about wanting a Frida Kahlo-style living arrangement (Morris points out that Kahlo and her husband's bedroom were connected by a bridge) even if she got into another relationship.

She shared that,

"I can just sprawl out all my skin care and display all my fragrances...I have joked that I want to be like Frida Kahlo and her husband and just live next door to each other."

She added that,

"If I ever meet someone that I want to be romantically linked to, I’ll be like, ‘You can live next door.’ Frida and her husband, their bedrooms were connected by a bridge. That’s about as close as I want to be to someone."
