Millie Bobby Brown did not attend the recent Stranger Things finale screening in New York City. The event brought together many of her longtime costars to watch the final episode of the hit Netflix series. Her absence quickly caught attention, especially since this marked another major event she missed this month.
The screening took place on December 26 at the Paris Theater. While most of the main cast members were present, Brown was not seen with them. Fans were curious, as the finale marks the end of a show that defined much of her early career.
So far, there is no controversy around her absence. According to sources close to the situation, Brown’s reason for missing the screening is related to a recent injury. Here is what is known at this point.
Injury prevented Millie Bobby Brown from attending the screening in person

Millie Bobby Brown has a dislocated shoulder, from which she is recuperating. The injury made her stay in her house at the moment of the finale screening, according to multiple sources. The same injury stopped her from making previous public appearances in December.
In early December, Millie Bobby Brown was not present for the interview on Good Morning America. However, in a recorded video message to her fans, she said,
"Hey everyone at GMA, I’m really sorry that I couldn’t be there with you guys. I took a fall."
In the video, she was shown sporting a black arm sling. This injury also led her to miss another Stranger Things event at the Paley Museum in New York City. A spokesperson of the venue at the time said that she had a recent injury, which kept her away.
How did she still take part in the finale moment?

Although Millie Bobby Brown could not be present at the screening, she became part of the experience. The source states that she was given a display of the last episode to watch along with her castmates. This let her participate in the moment even though she was at home.
The cast talked of their intentions to watch the last episode collectively. Noah Schnapp had earlier indicated that they were going to rent out a theater and watch it together. Instead, he said the experience will be emotional because it will be the last time they will spend in the show. He stated,
"I'm nervous... It was so emotional reading it, can you imagine what it's going to be like with the music and the editing and the... that'll definitely ruin my year maybe... But then it's almost like I can finally breathe. And the fans, too. They're so nervous and scared to say goodbye. But then once you get that closure, it's like, the book is closed."
The Stranger Things finale will air on December 31 at 8 p.m. ET.
