“Why not?”: Ana De Armas makes her feelings known about her potential return as Ballerina in John Wick 5

John Wick 5 has excited the franchise's fans. Ever since the fourth installment was released, viewers have been eager to find out when Keanu Reeves will return as the titular hitman. Meanwhile, Ana De Armas portrays the role of Eve Macarro, a ballerina-assassin, in the upcoming film Ballerina. The film is set between the events of the third and fourth films in the franchise and is slated for release on June 6, 2025, by Lionsgate.

Ahead of its release, Ana expressed her interest in being featured in John Wick 5, and when asked about it, she said, "Why not?"

Ana De Armas spoke to The Direct about the possibility of her appearance in John Wick 5. She said,

"That would be really cool. I would love that. Why not? I mean, they already know each other, right? Like, why wouldn't it? I would love that. That would be amazing."

Her comments imply that John has survived and may even confront Ballerina in the next installment. At CinemaCon 2025, Lionsgate announced that both Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski will return for John Wick 5.

Ana portrays Eve Macarro, a ballerina who is also a deadly assassin. She trained at Ruska Roma and received protection from Charon and Winston at the Continental Hotel. Ballerina, also known as From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, is the fourth installment in the franchise. Here's the official synopsis:

An assassin trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma organization sets out to seek revenge after her father's death.

The film is directed by Len Wiseman, with Shay Hatten as the writer. In addition to Ana De Armas, the film also stars Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Lance Reddick, and Norman Reedus, among others.

Recently, Chad Stahelski spoke about the fifth installment and said,

“The saga of John Wick was pretty wrapped up. So the only way to do a [fifth film] is to have a new story that involves John Wick. It’s not a continuation with the High Table. John dealt with his grief. It will be really different, and everybody [will] see the trailer and go, ‘Holy fu*k… I gotta see that.’”
