In 2015, Priscilla Rainey filed a s*xual battery lawsuit against rapper The Game. Rainey was a competitor on the VH1 reality program She's Got Game. Rapper, The Game, has lost his multimillion-dollar Calabasas mansion over 10 years later in a legal struggle to pay the $7 million judgment that Rainey was given.
Priscilla Rainey was involved in the production of She's Got Game, a reality dating show where The Game looked for a love partner, when the event happened in May 2015. Rainey said that the rapper was under the influence of narcotics and alcohol when he improperly assaulted her while reaching inside her dress during an off-camera encounter in Chicago.
Priscilla Rainey said in the court filings that The Game "forcefully reached his hand inside her dress to rub her bare v*gina and b*ttocks." The complaint was filed in a federal court in 2015.
A federal court in Illinois found The Game accountable in 2016 for intentional infliction of mental distress, s*xual battery, and violence. He was mandated to reimburse Priscilla Rainey for losses totaling $7.13 million($6 million in punitive penalties and $1.13 million in compensatory damages for the alleged assault). The judge then criticized the rapper for "willfully avoiding" the court procedures by not showing up for the trial. The judge wrote:
"Taylor did not take the litigation seriously. He evaded the process, trolled Rainey on social media, dodged a settlement conference, and did not bother to show up at trial."
The Game allegedly took numerous actions after the decision to avoid paying the penalty. Priscilla Rainey and her legal team accused him of shifting his assets around, trying to keep them from being seized. She specifically said that in what she called a "fraudulent" deal, The Game gave his longtime manager, Wack 100 (Cash Jones), ownership of his $2.8 million Calabasas property.
According to court records, the property transfer happened soon after the court's ruling. In response, Priscilla Rainey filed a motion alleging that the rapper was attempting to illegally protect assets from creditors through fraudulent transfer.
A judge decided in Rainey's favor in January 2024, overturning the property transfer and enabling her to seek the Calabasas home's seizure.
Priscilla Rainey's fight for justice: Court seizes The Game's assets, royalties, and mansion
Priscilla Rainey has earned some of the total money over the years, but as of late 2023, she has received around $500,000. This was accomplished by seizing The Game's assets, including music royalties, with a court's approval.
The Game has always denied any wrongdoing and demonstrated no inclination to pay despite the court's rulings. He has openly mocked the ruling on social media, posting:
"Don’t be fooled by these accusations or the dollar amount in the headlines. Cause I put that on my favorite aunties poodle this broad ain’t gettin s**t!"
Court scrutiny has only intensified as a result of this approach. According to legal experts, if he continues to refuse cooperation with asset declarations, he may face accusations of contempt of court.
Rainey's legal team was able to proceed with seizing the Calabasas residence by the beginning of 2025. To start collecting the remaining portion of the judgment, a judge approved the foreclosure and sale of the property, worth around $3 million.
