Twitch streamer Blaire "QTCinderella" responded to claims that she is homophobic in a recent livestream and claimed that she would send a cease and desist order to an X user who reposted her VOD (Video on Demand) on social media.Streamers RealKatieB, QTCinderella, and Vanillamace were on a joint live stream when watchers brought up their interactions with other controversial streamers. Blaire, while responding to the comment, said that just because she is on talking terms with the said streamers does not mean that she agrees with their views."Just because I don't act the same way you act, you're not allowed to, like, coach me through that. Because, at the end of the day, I am somebody that's like, b**ch, I'm an ally. Like, I'm not homophobic. It doesn't matter who I talk to."She also threatened to take legal action against an X user who reuploaded her Twitch broadcast with Vanillamace and KatieB."Someone said that there's someone uploading my VOD on Twitter. Is that what you said? If you can send my mod the username, I will happily send them a cease and desist, or you can give them a heads-up for me. Or, if they're watching this right now, I will sue you...quite literally."She continued,"I'm not afraid of doing that. So, if you could link that Twitter account to my...'That's a money waste.' It's not, actually. It's like realitvely cheap for me. I'm happy to spend 500 bucks to prove a point."QTCinderella issues an apologyIn a follow-up video to her livestream where she denied being homophobic, QTCinderella apologized for her comments and said that she was "deeply sorry" for how she put her words across. She agreed that her words were "irresponsible and dismissive," especially towards queer and POC communities. The streamer also apologized for her poor choice of words and promised that she'll do better."I'll do better in how I communicate and be more thoughtful about the words I use."Before Blaire issued the apology on October 27, Vanillamace defended Blaire, saying that she understands where she is coming from. However, Vanillamace noted that she disagreed with her stance on staying friends with bigots and that she was "uncomfortable" in the joint steam. She also stated that everyone on the stream was visibly uncomfortable.Vanillamace also noted that she did not directly agree with Blaire, since she had previously claimed on her streams that people who associate with controversial people are also controversial.
