Todd Chrisley is slamming trolls for pointing out that he doesn't look like he served a stint in prison.

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the 56-year-old acknowledged the comments online about him. Ahead of the premiere of his show, The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, on September 1, on Lifetime, he said:

“We read social media comments. We see the articles that are written. People saying, ‘Well, Todd doesn’t look like he’s ever gone to prison.’ Well, in another life, I would have been like, to the kids or to Julie, ‘OK, great. So they wrote a positive article about how I looked.’ So, I mean, that’s a good thing.”

For Chrisley, it doesn't make sense why people are more focused on his appearances as opposed to more pressing issues:

“Now I’m like, ‘Why are we talking about how I look? Why are we not talking about what I went through? All the people that are there that are still going through this today.’”

Todd Chrisley says he was put off by his wife's appearance the first time he saw her after being released from prison

Julie and Todd Chrisley were released from federal prison on May 28 after President Trump issued a presidential pardon for them. They had been sentenced to a combined total of 19 years behind bars in November 2022 on charges relating to fraud and tax evasion.

Notably, Chrisley made headlines in July when he commented on his wife's appearance during an episode of their Chrisley Confessions podcast in July. At the time, he admitted to being turned off when he first saw her after their collective release from prison. He said:

“I’m not going to lie. When I first saw you when I got out of that car, I started thinking about going back. But then I thought, let me embrace this. This is a moment.”

His wife, visibly shocked by her husband's admission, responded:

“Are you kidding me, right now?” to which he replied, “It was a rough moment because I had never seen you dark in my life.”

She added:

“Well, I know that, Todd, but I didn’t have any choice.”

The pair have since been reunited with their family, including kids Savannah, Chase, Grayson, and Chloe Chrisley. Julie told Us Weekly:

“I don’t think you can go through something like this and not change, and it would almost be sad if you didn’t change.”

She added:

“There’s definitely a time where you see things differently, where you react differently, because you’ve been in a situation where you’ve had to react differently. I think that’s part of the adjustment period back home.”

Shortly after their release, Todd Chrisley spoke with reporters to give a shoutout to everyone who stood by his side since he was imprisoned. At the time, he said:

"I want to thank every person that has prayed for us, that has stayed in the fight, and that fought for the truth to come out. I am grateful for it."
