More from Todd Chrisley's interview as he reveals details about his prison life
Todd Chrisley, along with his wife, Julie Chrisley, and daughter, Savannah Chrisley, sat down in an interview with Juju Chang, where they talked about how the couple's being in prison changed their perspective on life. Todd said that he now understands the importance of little things in life that he had previously taken for granted, like attending church or being able to sleep in his own bed.
He said:
"You don't realize the things that you took for granted until you don't have it. So your freedom, your ability to go to church, your ability to go out to eat, you know, to stay in your bed all day, those things are taken from you, so when you have them back, it's a blessing."
In the same interview, Julie Chrisley talked about missing out on the small moments in her children's lives, and missing out on holidays during her seven-year prison sentence, out of which she served two. She said:
"My children and my husband, you know, I missed birthdays and holidays and graduations and things that I can never get back. So now I just have to focus on what's ahead of us."
Todd Chrisley also shared that he now realizes the value of freedom and that going to prison has completely transformed him as a person. He said:
"You don't realize how much your freedom means to you until you don't have it. If it didn't change you, then you're not human."
According to People Magazine, Todd Chrisley, who was imprisoned at the Federal Prison Camp Pendaclola in Florida, added in his interview with ABC News that he had no apologies to give to anyone over the money he had made for himself and his family.
