5 major Easter eggs in Wicked: For Good trailer
The trailer for Wicked: For Good is out, and here are some easter eggs in it that you might have missed.
1) Dorothy's appearance - At one point in the trailer, we see the character of Dorothy Gale, who was a farm girl in Kansas, but is thrown into Oz with her dog after a tornado. The trailer features her shadow with the broom of Elphaba.
2) Glinda and Elphaba's dance - In one shot, we see Elphaba and Glinda shaking a leg together on a tune. The way they dance is a direct reference to their maiden dance at the Ozdust Ball at Shiz. It also features the Wizard.
3) Nessa - The trailer of Wicked: For Good also teases an appearance from East's Wicked Witch. In one moment, we see her floating above the ground in her attire. The source material features the character as someone who walks without the use of a wheelchair, which this scene confirms.
4) Tin-Man - We also see Tin-Man, who is a prominent character in The Wizard of Oz. The film features him as Boq, who is frustrated with his current condition. His scene is followed by the appearance of the Cowardly Lion.
5) Glinda's shoes - In one moment of the trailer, we see Glinda taking off her black boots that resemble the ones worn by Elphaba in school in the first film.
Wicked: For Good is written by Dana Fox and Winnie Holzman, while Marc Platt and David Stone are its producers. The film is an adaptation of the second act of Stephen Schwartz's 2003 play called Wicked, which itself was inspired by a 1995 novel. Its cast members include Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, and Jeff Goldblum, among others.
The film will be released theatrically on November 21, 2025
