Ariana Grande was featured in the new ‘Wicked: For Good’ x 2026 Winter Olympics ad, and the internet is buzzing with opinions.

In an advertisement that is now going viral online, figure skating champion Alysa Liu can be seen executing a routine on the ice when she gets interrupted by what seems to be an earthquake. The camera then zooms out to show that she's actually inside a snow globe that's resting in the palm of the pop star.

Fans have begun reacting to the clip with a blend of amusement and excitement, such as this one user who quipped on X:

"Wicked but make it Olympic edition"

The comments didn't end there:

"You should probably give a little bit more credit to Alysa Liu, the U.S. figure skating champion," one fan pointed out.
"Olympic-level slay, as expected," someone else chimed in.
"Popstar meets gold medal energy," another remarked.
"SHES BOOKED!" a fourth user exclaimed.

See how the rest of X is reacting:

"THIS PRINCESS," one fan gushed.
"girl put some respect on alyssa lius name," someone else pointed out.
"ariana and alysa together omg this is for meeeeee," another chimed in.
"the promotion is promoting, crazy good for her !!" yet another exclaimed.

Here's everything you need to know about the forthcoming Winter Olympics x Wicked collaboration:

Ariana Grande is set to reprise her role as Glinda in Wicked: For Good, and she and her co-star, Cynthia Erivo, debuted two new magical videos promoting the Winter Olympics.

In another clip shared by NBC Sports on Thursday, November 5, Erivo, who plays Elphaba in the Broadway live adaptation, joined the United States curling team champions Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin as they practiced with a faulty broom.

At one point, the Tony-winning actress held up her character's popular mode of travel as she told them: “Try this.” She then mimicked the fan-favorite wave that she and Ariana Grande did in the first Wicked film.

The two videos come days ahead of the premiere of their film, scheduled for November 21. The sequel comes nearly one year after the first part, directed by Jon M. Chu, debuted. As reported by Billboard, it broke box-office records at the time, becoming an instant massive hit.

As for the biennial Winter Olympics, it is scheduled for February 6. Thiesse and Dropkin are renowned as the 2023 world mixed doubles champions, and will be representing the U.S. alone at next year's event. It will be the first time for the former and the second for Thiesse, who also served as an alternate for the Women's team at PyeongChang in 2018.
