Will Ariana Greenblatt play Catwoman in the DCU? Here's what the star recently said

Ariana Greenblatt wants to play Catwoman in the DCU

Ariana Greenblatt recently spoke to Just The Nobodys Podcast, where she expressed her interest in playing Catwoman for the DCU. She said,

"I would love to play Catwoman. I would love to!"

Justice Smith, who is her co-star in the upcoming film Now You See Me: Now You Don't, added:

"There's a superhero that I've always wanted to be. I always wanted to be Beast Boy from Teen Titans."

Greenblatt then added that she would like to play Rachel Roth, also known as Raven.

"And I'll be Raven!"

During a fan interaction on Threads in September, Gunn confirmed that they have plans to make a Catwoman film for DCU. When asked if he has any plans to bring that character on screen, he wrote: "Oh for sure." This news seemingly suggests that a Catwoman project could be in development for the DCU in the near future.

Greenblatt had her tryst with the superhero genre in 2018's Avengers: Infinity War, where she played a young Gamora. She began her acting career as a child actor in the 2017 film A Bad Moms Christmas and has worked on titles such as Barbie, Fear Street: Prom Queen and Awake. Besides movies, Greenblatt has also starred in television shows like Stuck in the Middle and The Boss Baby: Back in the Crib.

Meanwhile, the DCU began with Superman, directed by James Gunn, which was released on July 11, 2025. The makers also have a planned follow-up film called Man of Tomorrow, which may be released in 2027.
