World Wrestling Entertainment took to social media to pay a tribute to “Hulkamania”:

More about Hulk Hogan, the legendary wrestler

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea and was born on 11 August 1953, in Augusta, Georgia, was one of the reasons WWE is at the stage and level it is today. He gained fame in the 1980s with his All-American “Hulkamania” persona and turned the Wrestling franchise into a household name.
The retired wrestler had been married three times in his life: Linda Hogan in 1983, with whom he shares two kids, then Jennifer McDaniel in 2010, and Sky Daily in 2023.
Weeks before his passing, there were speculations that Hogan was gravely ill. However, it was immediately denied, stating that he just underwent a neck procedure. A few rumours were swirling around about his health, some stating that the star was hospitalised for some neck and back problems for a while.
He had quite an ambitious career with six WWE Championships, as well as starring in movies, television shows, and his own animated series. Hulk Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and again in 2020 as part of the New World Order wrestling faction.
