The official teaser trailer of Wuthering Heights has dropped on the internet. The video has a duration of one minute and 31 seconds, and it begins with Heathcliff telling Catherine Earnshaw: 'I can follow you like a dog to the end of the world.' It then showcases several moments between these two characters as they fall in love. The trailer manages to capture the chemistry between Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.

The first frame of the trailer establishes the West Yorkshire estate. We slowly see images of the lead getting mixed with shots of hands kneading bread, a bare back, and hands running through egg yolks.

The film is produced by Emerald Fennell, Margot Robbie, and Josey McNamara under the banners of Lie Still and LuckyChap Entertainment. Its cast members include,

  • Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw
  • Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff
  • Hong Chau as Nelly Dean
  • Ewan Mitchell
  • Vy Nguyen as Young Nelly
  • Martin Clunes
  • Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton
  • Alison Oliver as Isabella Linton

The original novel remains the only full-length novel that Emily Brontë wrote. It initially received mixed responses from literary critics who pointed out that its characters had loose morals. However, over the years, the novel has found its place among the greatest pieces of literature.

After Elordi was announced as the actor locked for playing Heathcliff, Fennell received backlash on the internet for casting a white person. In the book, the character is described as a gipsy with dark skin. Fennell, who started out as an actor, has appeared in films like Mr. Nice and The Danish Girl. She had directed titles like 2020's Promising Young Woman and 2023's Saltburn.

Wuthering Heights will release on February 13, 2026.
