“Your time is past buddy, it’s my time now” — DDG responds to Soulja Boy calling him out over Halle Bailey’s abuse allegations

Rapper cum Twitch streamer DDG is not too worried about claims that he was abusive towards the mother of his son, singer Halle Bailey, as Soulja Boy threatens him on the latter's behalf.

Amid allegations that the rapper was physically and verbally abusive with the actress during their two years together, Soulja Boy took to X to pen a scathing message to DDG on May 14:

"You a b*tch a*s n**** for putting yo hands on Halle lil n**** @PontiacMadeDDG," he said. "If I catch you im beating the f*ck out u."

In response, the streamer took to social media on Wednesday morning with a seemingly cavalier attitude:

"I’m chillin btw.. i have no worries. streaming later on, no days off!"

At the time the allegations broke out, the rapper was with Adin Ross on a livestream.

"I be really trying to respect n*ggas, because I'm 27, bro," he said in the clip, referring to Soulja Boy. "Your time is past buddy, it’s my time now."

For the unversed, the actress took to Instagram to accuse DDG of being abusive, prompting her to file for a temporary restraining order against him. Hot New Hip Hop reveals that the latter is now prohibited from getting within 100 yards of the actress and their son, Halo.

According to Complex, in the court documents, she outlined an instance where the rapper got aggressive with her after the pair got into an argument about the visitation schedule of their 18-month-old son.

The incident, which allegedly took place in January, months after they broke up in October 2024, saw the Michigan content creator pull her hair and slam her face into his car's steering wheel, leaving her with a chipped tooth. He also allegedly referred to her as a "b*tch." Images of Halle's chipped tooth are now circulating online.

“At one point, Darryl was pulling my hair. He then slammed my face on the steering wheel,” she said, according to Rap Up. “I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain. I wanted to get out of the car with Halo but was now stuck.”

The Shade Room has reported that The Little Mermaid actress is also accusing her estranged partner of trespassing in her home, threatening her via text, and weaponizing his fan base to harass her. Hot New Hip Hop has reported that he allegedly broke her phone and the doorbell of her home.

“I also ask the court to order Darryl to cease and desist from posting and/or streaming on any and all platforms about Halo and/or me,” Halle Bailey penned in her filing.

Soulja Boy has been accused of being violent with women in the past as well. Just earlier this year, he was penalised by having to pay $4.25 million in restitution to his former personal assistant for allegedly assaulting her in 2021.
