Zooey Deschanel is finally saying her part in the long-time debate over whether Die Hard is a Christmas film or not. Before hearing Deschanel's opinion, the British Board of Film Classification conducted a poll asking the audience the very same question. The results revealed that 44% of the votes were inclined to believe that Die Hard IS NOT a Christmas film.However, Deschanel disagrees. During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the New Girl actress finally expressed her thoughts if Die Hard is a festive film or not. In her words:"It is... It takes place on Christmas."She continued to support her answer by saying that, although it does not have the core elements of Christmas in the film, it is set during Christmas time, which makes it a Christmas movie for her.
