Dwayne Johnson is hopping into the animated animal kingdom, as the actor is the latest addition to Disney's Zootopia 2 voice cast. Johnson will be playing the role of Zeke, an accident-prone dik-dik who crashes into chaos, literally, after Judy and Nick’s high-speed chase spirals out of control. It's not yet known how important the role will be to the film's narrative, but seeing Johnson's stardom, we can expect Zeke to make quite a few appearances!
Johnson joins Ke Huy Quan, Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, David Strathairn, Patrick Warburton, and Quinta Brunson as the fresh faces in Zootopia 2, with Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, and Shakira reprising their roles from the first film.
Johnson is fresh off the success of his biographical drama The Smashing Machine, which told the story of Mark Kerr in a gripping, heartfelt narrative. The film has received much appreciation from fans, critics, and notable filmmakers, with Oscar buzz following. Apart from that, he is all set to reprise his role as Maui in the live-action version of Disney's Moana, set to release in 2026.

Almost a decade after Zootopia charmed audiences with its witty social satire and talking animals, Disney is finally bringing the city back to life with Zootopia 2. Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, with Bush also serving as writer and Yvett Merino producing, the animated sequel hits theaters in the United States on November 26, 2025.
The official synopsis of the film reads,
Judy and Nick find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town.

Returning to their roles are Ginnifer Goodwin as the ever-optimistic rabbit cop Judy and Jason Bateman as her sly fox partner Nick. Idris Elba, Shakira, Nate Torrence, Bonnie Hunt, Don Lake, Maurice LaMarche, Jenny Slate, and Alan Tudyk all reprise their roles from the 2016 classic. Tommy Lister Jr.’s Finnick also returns through unused recordings from the original film, a touching nod to the late actor.
The brand-new cast list for the film is even more star-studded. Fortune Feimster joins as Nibbles Maplestick, a beaver from Marsh Market; Ke Huy Quan joins as Gary De'Snake, a pit viper who is the first snake Zootopia has seen and who will be the primary antagonist in the film; Quinta Brunson plays Dr. Fuzzby, Judy and Nick’s police therapist; and Dwayne Johnson voices Zeke. Joining them are Andy Samberg, David Strathairn, Brenda Song, Macaulay Culkin, Patrick Warburton, Danny Trejo, Jean Reno, and Wilmer Valderrama, who also join the bustling ensemble, although their roles are not yet known.
