Masters of the Universe live-action movie has wrapped up filming, it seems, as the lead actor, Nicholas Galitzine, who is playing Prince Adam Glenn, aka He-Man, has shared his look as the character on his Instagram page. He mentioned that the team is "proud of the movie" they've made. You can see the post below.
The film's official synopsis reads,
"After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe!"
A few weeks ago, the actor shared an image of him holding a sword. That post confirmed that the production is beginning on the film.
Other than Nicholas Galitzine, Alison Brie, Jared Leto, Idris Elba, and more are in the movie.
Travis Knight, who is known for Kubo and the Two Strings (2016) and Bumblebee (2018), is directing the film. Other than that, the director has also won three Oscar nominations, which he shared with Chris Butler and Arianne Sutner on different occasions.
A little bit about Masters of the Universe's lead character

Prince Adam is the son of King Randor and Queen Marlena, whom James Purefoy and Charlotte Riley are portraying in the live-action film. He also has a sister named Princess Adora, aka She-Ra. Going by the current listings at IMDb, no one is playing She-Ra in it. We can't say if she will pop up in potential future stories or if the character has been let go here.
Adam transforms into He-Man by raising his Power Sword and uttering the words "By the power of Grayskull." Once he becomes the superhero, he simply says, "I have the power!" This is sort of like Shazam, when he says "Shazam," and the skinny kid becomes a bulky dude.
The Masters of the Universe protagonist isn't the only one going through such a transformation in there. Adam has a pet tiger, much like Courage the Cowardly Dog, who is shy and afraid of things.
However, when Adam is transformed, he points his sword towards hit pet, which turns the frightened tiger into the Battle Cat.
He-Man's closest companion in the Masters of the Universe franchise is Man-At-Arms, played by Idris Elba in the upcoming movie.
Castle Grayskull has always been at the center of this franchise and the main attraction for antagonists like Skeletor, Hordak, and the Snake Men. There's no detail about the latter two's involvement in the movie, but Jared Leto is playing Skeletor in it.
Which actors have portrayed He-Man in Masters of the Universe franchise before?
Before Nicholas Galitzine, only one actor had played He-Man in the Masters of the Universe live-action adaptation: Dolph Lundgren. He played the character in the 1987 film, which bombed at the box office following its release. However, it is a cult classic today. The rest of the portrayals are voice casts to which a number of voice actors have contributed. This includes John Erwin, Doug Parker, Yuri Lowenthal, and more.
