With Hulk Hogan's death being mourned by thousands around the world, his son Nick Hogan has also paid his tribute to his late father. Nick shared a heartfelt message on Instagram today in which he shared his feelings about losing his father.

The Instagram post was presented in the form of flashback photos and personal reminisces of the duo's experiences together and was accompanied by a personal message (written by Nick Hogan in memory of his father, who passed away earlier this week). The post shows the caring side of the wrestling icon and has been shared by thousands of fans across social media platforms.

Nick Hogan's note to his late father

Nick Hogan had a very strong bond with his father, according to US Weekly. As a child, Nick was seen accompanying his father to wrestling shows around the world, and the father-son duo also appeared in the reality TV show Hogan Knows Best. Unlike his sister, Nick had actually grown close to his father over the recent years and had even moved to Florida to be close to his father.

In addition to thanking well-wishers, Nick Hogan wrote down a personal message to his deceased father, which went this way:

"Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and comforted me over the last few days. It truly means a lot. I’m sorry to everyone I have not responded to yet. This has been overwhelming and extremely difficult. Hearing so many kind words and stories about my dad’s life, interactions and experiences with everyone has been incredible and comforting. My dad was the most incredible person I’ve ever known and will always be my hero. He was the most kind, loving and amazing father anybody could ask for. I feel so blessed to have had the greatest dad in the world. He was not only the best dad but also my mentor and my best friend. He always has been my best friend and I love him and miss him more than I could ever explain."

The statement then went on to add:

"I thanked him for everything he has ever done for me and told him how much I loved him and hugged him every chance I got. I spent a lot of time with him the past few years after moving back to Florida to be closer to him and I am so grateful for those memories. They are the best moments in my life. I would do anything to have him back but I know now that he will always be watching over me. I will always remember the lessons and advice he gave me and carry on in a way that I know would make him proud. Thank you for being the best dad in the world and thank you for being my best friend. I love you so much Big Dog and I will miss you forever."

The Instagram post of Nick Hogan has moved the hearts of the fans, and the fans got an opportunity to relive the father-son moments through social media. In the meantime, the condolence messages keep coming in via scores of fans worldwide, and other public figures have also expressed their shock and sadness over the news.

The homage comes not only from the wrestling world, as Sylvester Stallone also paid his dues to his old friend through a recent social media post.
