Let's explore how the story ends.
What is the plot of Now You See Me: Now You Don't?
Now You See Me: Now You Don't follows the four horsemen returning. They include of J. Daniel Atlas, aka Jesse Eisenberg, Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson), Henley Reeves (Isla Fischer) and Jack Wilder (Dave Franco). All of them regroup with a new set of performers to loot Veronika Vanderberg (Rosamund Pike). She is a diamond merchant and the head of a criminal enterprise.
How does Now You See Me: Now You Don't end?
Towards the end of Now You See Me: Now You Don't, magician Charlie Vanderberg was responsible for setting up the whole scheme. Danny decides to talk to him along with June and Bosco. He is infuriated when he learns that the Eye didn't want him to recruit them. Danny had faked the invite to include the Four Horsemen in his plan. Charlie had also created the Eye mansion and hired Thaddeus to take on Veronika.
The final moment features her going towards the vault to get access to Heart Diamond, only to realize that she's been tricked. Charlie is standing at the door, and the two have a conversation. This concludes with her admitting to all her sins, including her laundering money for criminals and Neo-Nazis.
The rug is pulled under her, and Veronika realizes that she's been implicated in admitting everything. This leads the cops to send her to jail. We quickly realize that Charlie's mother worked as a housekeeper for Veronika when she was a kid. Veronika's father had an illicit affair with Charlie's mother, which resulted in his birth. This was followed by his mother's death in a car accident.
Charlie was inside the car, and he was assumed to have died on the spot. Luckily, he survived and was taken to a foster home. He held Veronika responsible for his mother's death and wanted to take revenge. As a kid, he was close to Veronika, with the latter also teaching him some magic tricks.
As Veronika tries to shoot Charlie, she realizes that the magazine is empty. The cops eventually arrest Veroniak. The Horsemen and Charlie tell the crowd that the money from Veronika's company and diamond mining will be given back to South Africa.
Later, the four Horsemen meet June, Bosco, and Charlie. We realize that Lula and Jack are back in a relationship. They receive a package that contains Dylan's hologram. He had faked his arrest and told everyone that they were officially a part of The Eye. Now You See Me: Now You Don't ends with the hint of a possible future mission.
