Patrick Stewart is set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday as Professor Charles Xavier, who is also known as Professor X. The film's cast includes almost every Marvel Universe superhero we've seen on screen to date and will feature the return of Robert Downey Jr. to the MCU. Thus, it is one of the most anticipated films of 2026 and will be released in theatres on December 18, 2026.

However, news has come to light regarding Patrick Stewart's career. In a recent episode of The Kristian Harloff Show, Harloff revealed that, as far as his sources go, Avengers: Doomsday is going to be Patrick Stewart's last appearance on screen.

Avengers: Doomsday to be Patrick Stewart's last project

Patrick Stewart began his acting career in 1959 in Cyrano de Bergerac at the Theatre Royal, Bristol. Since then, Stewart has acted in numerous theatre productions, films, and shows. For his contributions, in 2010, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for services to drama. He has had an extensive career and has been acting since the age of nineteen. Now, at the age of eighty-five, Patrick Stewart is set to reprise his role as Professor X in Avengers: Doomsday, which might be his final role.

In a recent episode of The Kristian Harloff Show, Harloff spoke about various topics, among which Patrick Stewart was one. Harloff said,

"So, we know that Patrick Stewart is going to be making an appearance here as Professor X that we know. Uh, apparently he's done wjith acting after this. Apparently, this is it. Apparently, he's stepping down."

Harloff is known for covering entertainment news, and as per his sources, Patrick Stewart will be retiring as an actor after his appearance in Avengers: Doomsday. This news is yet to be confirmed by Stewart's representatives, and thus, we cannot confirm it either. But it is a possibility since Stewart's representatives haven't denied anything. Hopefully, an official announcement will come if Patrick Stewart decides to step down from acting.

Patrick Stewart has acted in numerous projects and is best known for playing Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek projects and Professor Charles Xavier in X-Men, X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Wolverine, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Logan, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Stewart has also starred in Maybury, Moby Dick, and Blunt Talk, among others.
