May 2025 already had an electric start for moviegoers because Thunderbolts just dropped today. There are some busy weekends to come. While theaters will see activity, streaming platforms will be adding something new to their rosters too—and we’re here to talk about the top 5 additions to Peacock in May 2025.
There are a couple of entire franchises coming in, but that’d be too much—so we’ll just include the first films from them so you can learn about the origins of their stories. We say this because more movies in those franchises are already scheduled to arrive. Or you can simply revisit them if you’ve already seen them; maybe you’ll catch a detail you missed the last time you watched.
Rest assured, the rest will be standalone films, though we can’t say if they’re getting sequels or not. But if they are—don’t you think you should watch them?
Top 5 movies on Peacock in May 2025
John Wick
There’s a lot of buzz surrounding the upcoming John Wick films, especially Ballerina starring Ana de Armas and Norman Reedus. The spin-off is set to arrive on June 6, 2025, so you should begin at the beginning and explore this world with the first John Wick film. Then watch the rest, too, as they’ll be added to Peacock on May 15. Interestingly, John Wick: Chapter 5is in development, though we don’t have a release date for it yet.
Now You See Me

Now you’ve got to see it—especially after Now You See Me: Now You Don’t dropped a new trailer where we saw the original Horsemen joining hands again. Joining them is the grandmaster of the Eye, Thaddeus Bradley, who has gathered them to pull off their biggest sleight of hand to date. Now You See Me and its sequel were added to Peacock just yesterday. And we insist you watch the sequel—you’ll love the way they all played with a card in there.
Dog Man
Peter Hastings’ Dog Man is already among the best films fans have seen this year and currently stands as the eighth-highest-grossing film of 2025. If you haven’t seen it yet, give it a go—or just wait until its May 31 premiere on Peacock. Peter Hastings, Pete Davidson, Isla Fisher, and more actors have lent their voices to the characters.
The Town
If you’ve seen Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye too much and want a break, Peacock has your back—it’s already added this 2010 flick to its roster. Joining him is former Batman, Ben Affleck; both play partners in crime. Interestingly, you’ll see a completely different personality in Renner’s character—and that’s something fun to watch out for.
Black Bag
Lastly, the recent critical hit Black Bag, starring Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender, is sitting with a 96% critics approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s a spy thriller where this husband and wife, along with their MI6 group, are under suspicion of a major leak. But we won’t spoil anything here—we’ve crafted an entire piece for that. If you don't want to read it, then just head over to Peacock.
