Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt are expecting a baby, and the comedian has just shared his thoughts on the first role he'll share with his baby one day. While appearing on an interview with PEOPLE, Davidson mentioned the animated film Dog Man as something he looks forward to sharing with his child as part of bonding activities.

"I haven't really thought about it yet. I know I'll show Dog Man, that's for sure."

The connection between Pete Davidson and Dog Man also stands out, wherein he lent his voice to the character of Petey the Cat in the film. The passion that he appears to have for the project now appears to have assumed a different meaning with the pregnancy announcement, as he seems intent on sharing the movie with his child.

Pete Davidson's statements on fatherhood

Pete Davidson's enthusiasm for fatherhood is evident in the statements the comedian has made through the years. His partner, Elsie Hewitt, announced the pregnancy last month, and the couple reportedly feels great about having a new member of their family.

Recently, Pete Davidson also acknowledged that the news of the pregnancy made him find a whole new perspective on life, and he revealed that he has assigned his work duties to other people temporarily. In the interview with E! News, he expressed his ideas about what he is planning to do in the future by saying

"I'm very lucky and very, very happy. [I'm looking forward to] being able to take care of something and show it the childhood I didn’t have. I assume you just try to give them what you didn’t have, and what you didn’t like, not do it."

He then went on to add:

"As you know, it’s been my dream forever since I was a little kid. The baby’s mother is one of my favorite people to ever exist, ever. She’s going to be a great mom, and I’m just stoked. And I hope to be the dad that I hoped that I would have. Everybody’s just been super excited for me, because they know it’s been my dream. They all just have been like, ‘You’re going to be great at this. It’s the best thing you’ll ever do in your life.’"

The latest comments of Pete Davidson indicate that he is already planning the next experiences of bonding and what values he wishes to impart to his future children. His involvement in Dog Man also transforms it from simply a professional project to something with deeper meaning in the context of his growing family.
