Disney is giving Zootopia 2 a light-hearted real-life spin: Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin, one of the most popular low-profile couples in Hollywood, are voicing the role of siblings in the new Lynxley family. They will be featured alongside big stars like Andy Samberg and David Strathairn as the film gets ready to be released during the Thanksgiving holiday season.

Fans have so much to look forward to from Zootopia 2: familiar voices like Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will be back, there are new characters that will double the thrill, and Song and Culkin will bring their real-life chemistry to the mix.

The two have collaborated in the past, so the fact that they are playing animated lynx brother and sister should be even more fun. Expect boisterous sibling interaction and sweet family times that both the children and adults will enjoy.

Casting Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin in Zootopia 2

Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin are going to be a surprising and fun pair as animated characters in Zootopia 2. Mostly fast and funny, Brenda grew up on Disney Channel programs, and Macaulay has a mellow yet slightly devious voice that is very cartoon-friendly. They will play a brother-sister duo in Zootopia 2, with Culkin as Cattrick Lynxley, the eldest, ambitious son, and Song as Kitty Lynxley, the younger, sharp-tongued daughter.

The idea of using a real-life couple as siblings may be strange initially, but Disney is concentrating on their characters rather than the relationship they have off-screen. Culkin can add that big-brother vibe, constantly testing others, whereas Song can retaliate with cutting remarks and repartees.

Meet the Lynxleys in Zootopia 2

The Lynxley family is an up-and-coming, strong family in Zootopia 2. They assist in managing the enormous weather walls in the city, balancing the weather. The family is intimate, but with their tight rules and pecking order. Andy Samberg will star as the easy-going Pawbert Lynxley, David Strathairn as the strict dad Milton, and Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song co-star as siblings Cattrick and Kitty.

This arrangement is very drama-packed. There is a lot at stake since the weather walls are important to the entire ecosystem of the city. An affluent, secretive, and internally conflicted family is also an ideal test for Judy and Nick as detectives.

Consumers may expect a salty social comedy regarding the subject of class, power, and maintenance of appearances from Zootopia 2. Probably, there will also be some comic moments, family dinners when everything goes terribly wrong, when the glamorous image of the Lynxleys slips and reveals the actual, untidy relationships between brothers.

What to expect

Zootopia 2 will be a socially sharp comedy about class, power, and maintaining appearances, which is something fans can anticipate. It is probable that it will also have humorous moments: imagine family dinners that go wayward, as well as times when the Lynxleys’ pretentious image fades, and we are presented with truly disheveled sibling relationships.

Now that both Judy and Nick will be going undercover in the new areas of town, the Lynxleys might also act as a roadblock and prove to be a surprising ally, a family that seems invincible when in fact they are weaker than they seem.

Jared Bush and Byron Howard are returning as directors in Zootopia 2, and Michael Giacchino is back to do the music. The team is eager to have even more clever social jokes and retain the fun and family-friendly atmosphere of the first film.

The sequel has star power with the introduction of well-known actors like Macaulay Culkin, Brenda Song, Andy Samberg, and David Strathairn. This combination not only makes Zootopia 2 a mega family comedy, but a cast that will ensure media coverage, crucial for a sequel that must demonstrate it is worth the ride back to Zootopia.

Zootopia 2 will be launched by Disney over the Thanksgiving weekend, on November 26, 2025, and they are confident that it will be a huge blockbuster with a lot of storytelling. The viewers should look forward to the combination of the wise jokes aimed at the older ones and all the cozy, entertaining moments that the children adored in the first Zootopia.
