Ringo Starr is set to release a new country album on January 10, 2025. The album is titled Look UP and is currently available for pre-order from Amazon. It is priced at $29.99 for the Vinyl edition, $9.49 for the MP3 edition, and $11.59 for the CD edition.
Ringo Starr talked about the new album in an exclusive interview with USA Today on May 10, 2024:
"It’s a country one. I’m working on it with someone very special – T Bone Burnett. He’s doing stuff in Nashville and he comes to LA and it’s all working out. He came to me with nine songs. It won’t be out until October, at least."
Ringo Starr also talked about the album in a statement released on his official website announcement on October 18, 2024:
"I’ve always loved country music. And when I asked T Bone to write me a song, I didn’t even think at the time that it would be a country song – but of course it was, and it was so beautiful."
The singer continued:
"I had been making EPs at the time and so I thought we would do a country EP -but when he brought me nine songs I knew we had to make an album! And I am so glad we did. I want to thank, and send Peace & Love, to T Bone and all the great musicians who helped make this record. It was a joy making it and I hope it is a joy to listen to.”
Ringo Starr is also featured in the new documentary film Beatles '64, directed by David Tedeschi, and produced by Martin Martin Scorsese and Margaret Bodde. The film was released on Disney+ on November 29, 2024.
