Leila George and Dave Bautista have officially joined the cast of Road House 2, alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. George is all set to play the female lead, while Bautista has been cast in a yet-to-be-disclosed role, according to the latest report from Variety.

Russian filmmaker Ilya Naishuller will serve as the director on this project, which will offer a sequel to the 2024 action thriller, Road House, directed by Doug Liman. The 2024 movie was itself based on Rowdy Herrington's 1989 film, headlined by Patrick Swayze. Later, Jake Gyllenhaal played the lead in Liman's film as a former UFC fighter finding himself in trouble after taking up a job in a small town.

Gyllenhaal will return for the sequel helmed by the director of action-packed projects such as Hardcore Henry (2015), Nobody (2021), and Heads of State (2025), among others. Will Beall is in charge of the script. His previous writing credits include Bad Boys: Ride or Die (2024), Aquaman (2018), Gangster Squad (2013), and more.

The plot details for Road House 2 have not been disclosed yet. According to the Variety report, Jake Gyllenhaal and Josh McLaughlin serve as producers with their Nine Stories banner, while Alex Gartner and Charles Roven will also be producing the action-thriller sequel on behalf of Atlas Entertainment.
