Rod Stewart set to play Glastonbury 2025 legends slot: All you need to know 

Rod Stewart is set to play at the Glastonbury 2025 "Legends" slot. The 79-year-old singer's inclusion in the lineup was announced by the festival on their X page on November 26, 2024, with the festival organizers stating that they were excited to include the singer in the upcoming edition's lineup.

The singer himself also stated that he was excited at the opportunity to play at the event in an Instagram page post on the same day:

"I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing @glastofest 2025! After all these years, I’m proud and ready and more than able to take the stage again to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June. I’ll see you there!"

Rod Stewart to lose $300,0000 by performing at Glastonbury 2025

On November 27, 2024, Rod Stewart made an appearance at the talkSport Breakfast show with host Alan Brazil. The singer revealed that he did not hesitate at all when asked to perform at Glastonbury 2025, before going on to state that he would lose $300,0000 by performing at the event:

"Immediately. It's a great honour. It's going to cost me a fortune to do it - $300,0000. I’ve got to bring all my band back from America, of course Glastonbury don't pay for that. But I don't care if it cost me $1 million, I would have done it. This is a great honour. It really is the greatest honour."

The upcoming performance at the festival will be Rod Stewart's first performance at the festival since 2002 when he performed as a headliner at the event. The upcoming edition of Glastonbury will also be its last before the festival goes for a break for a year in 2026 by the wishes of the Worthy Farm venue family, The Eavises. The festival will return in 2027 once again.
