Donald Trump has spoken up about Roger Clemens’ Hall of Fame snub. The American president, who played golf with the Baseball legend for a whole day, shared on his Truth social on Sunday, August 24, 2025, that Roger Clemens should be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

According to the American president, the allegations about the Baseball star using drugs were never proven, so he should be considered.

“He should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame, NOW! People think he took drugs, but nothing was proven. He never tested positive, and Roger, from the very beginning, totally denies it.”

Trump also compared Roger Clemens' exclusion from the Hall of Fame consideration to the late Pete Rose's inclusion after his death.

“We are not going to let that happen in the case of Roger Clemens. 354 Wins — Put him in NOW. He and his great family should not be forced to endure this ‘stupidity’ any longer!”

Pete Rose was ineligible for Baseball Hall of Fame consideration until May 2025, when he was removed from the ineligible list.

Who is Roger Clemens?

Roger Clemens is an American professional baseball player who pitched for 24 seasons in the Major League Baseball (MLB). He debuted in the MLB on May 15, 1984, and made his last appearance on September 16, 2007, for the New York Yankees.

Roger was accused of using steroids to increase his pitching performance. However, the accusation was never proven, and Clemens also denied the accusation.

“I could care less about the rules. I've talked to some friends of his and I've teased them that when you're under house arrest and have ankle bracelets on, you have a lot of time to write a book,” Clemens said.

He was referring to José Canseco's book titled Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant 'Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big, that alleged that Roger knew the ins and out of steroids use even implying that Clemens advised him to use it.

Clemens went on 60 Minutes on January 6, 2008, and addressed the steroids accusation. He stated that it was his efforts and hard work that made him the baseball legend he is. He denied any claims of using steroids and denied his trainer, Brian McNamee’s claims that he used the enhancement.
