American singer-songwriter and rapper Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, commonly known by her stage name Doja Cat, recently lashed out at her fans over criticism related to her Ma Vie World Tour, which began on November 18, 2025, in Auckland, New Zealand. The 30-year-old rapper, who is also a record producer, fired back at some of the online comments and complaints made by her fans following her Auckland performance, as per BBC.
As reported by the BBC, the Freaky Deaky singer, Doja Cat, became a little defensive when her fans pointed out that the live show lacked certain things, including structure, outfits, and visuals.
The Agora Hills hitmaker, who is widely known for her over-the-top and captivating live performances, was quick enough to respond to her fans who criticised the opening night of her world tour. According to the BBC, Doja Cat, who is nicknamed "Queen of Pop Rap," responded to her fans' criticism by saying:
"I make music for people who enjoy music. I'm not a Broadway act."
While this is not Doja Cat's first online tussle with her fans, in a similar incident earlier, when she received negative messages from her fans and people, the Demons hitmaker deactivated her official Instagram page, which currently has 24.7 million followers.
The rapper-turned-record producer, Doja, gained major attention and fame as a music artist in 2018 after her song Mooo! went viral on the internet. After that, she released the album Hot Pink and a single Say So, which went viral on the internet and eventually ranked in the first position on Billboard's chart, turning her into a successful singer-songwriter and rapper. However, while Doja Cat's fans remain polarized following her November 18 Auckland live performance, one of the fans who was not pleased with her show took to X (formerly Twitter) and said:
"scarlet 2 is coming"
