1) Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott

Neve Campbell is making her return to the franchise as Sidney Prescott after nearly 15 years. She last played the role in 2011's Scream 4. Campbell was also featured in the first three films directed by Wes Craven. She has also acted in movies like Panic and Hot Air.

2) Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers

Besides Campbell, Courtney Cox is also returning as Gale Weathers in Scream 7. The character is a journalist known for her tough questioning of people. Besides this franchise, Campbell is also known as Monica in the sitcom Friends.

3) Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin

In August 2024, Neve Campbell spoke to ET about the film. She said,

“They pitched me the concept, I’m getting the script in the next couple of days. The concept is great, and we will be following Sidney Prescott, which is exciting. We will have some of the oldies, and some great new people, and Kevin Williamson is directing. I’m super excited about that, and I know he’s excited, because he’s always wanted to direct one. It’ll be fun.”

She added,

"I love these movies, they are so much fun to be a part of, I'm so grateful for them, I could never have imagined being a part of a movie that would have lasted this many decades."

The franchise began in 1996 with Wes Craven's Scream, a satirical take on the slasher genre that featured characters who were self-aware of these films. Its success was followed by six more installments, which were released over the next two decades.
