Matt Reeves might be looking to make an MCU reunion in the DC universe with The Batman Part II. While earlier news of Scarlett Johansson allegedly joining the cast for the much-awaited sequel left fans very excited, another crucial member of the MCU has apparently joined the cast.

This time, Marvel's very own Winter Soldier, Sebastian Stan, has been rumored to be in conversation to join the cast of Matt Reeves' The Batman Part II.

It is worth noting, however, that no official confirmation has been received about this news from either party, with Warner Bros. and DC Studios remaining notably silent about the casting decisions made for the Pattinson-starrer sequel.

Matt Reeves' The Batman Part II is a much-awaited sequel after the success of the first part

While DC fans were initially very skeptical about seeing Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, his portrayal of the role was very well appreciated once the movie was released. Moreover, the treatment of Gotham as the main character was also a fresh approach that was very well-received by the audience.

In his rendition of The Batman, Matt Reeves focused on Gotham City as the main character, focusing on the multiple issues within the city, including corruption, drug abuse, and increasing violence and crime. Amidst all this, Pattinson's Bruce Wayne is shown as a character who is still extremely vulnerable and emotionally raw, before he even becomes a vigilante.

The Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz-starrer was a massive hit, grossing $369.3 million at the domestic box office and $772 million worldwide. The movie has received a very good response from the audience, who are now eagerly awaiting the arrival of the sequel.

Sebastian Stan's role in The Batman Part II is still unknown. However, he has made his mark in the film industry through his numerous previous works. Most notably known for his portrayal of Bucky, aka The Winter Soldier, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he has also played key roles in many other productions. Some of his most notable works include Black Swan, I, Tonya, and The Devil All The Time. More recently, he was seen playing the role of Donald Trump in The Apprentice, for which he has received a Best Actor Oscar nomination.

As for The Batman Part II, production is scheduled to begin in April this year, and the film is slated for an October 2027 release. The Batman, on the other hand, is currently available to stream on HBO Max.
